About Met Film School

School location at Ealing Studios

Based in the heart of Ealing Studios, the Met Film School's goal is to launch the careers of the next generation of independent filmmakers, by focusing on the opportunities generated by the digitisation of the global film industry.

The school offers a range of full-time and part-time courses, all taught by working industry professionals. The courses span craft areas of writing, directing, editing, producing and acting and are aimed at new and emerging filmmakers wanting to build a career in the film industry.

BA Film , One-Year Practical Filmmaking and From Story To Screen In Eight Weeks have been developed in advisory partnership with the National Film and Television School. Other partners include Arts Alliance Media and Thames Valley University, as well as a network of production, post-production and distribution companies.

We also deliver a range of  training programmes for working industry professionals. The Pro Skills Series offers skills-based training for specific roles in the film industry, with the aim of enabling entry level employees and freelancers move up to more senior roles in their chosen field.

The Met Film School's integration within the Met Film group means that unlike any other film school we are completed immersed in the industry. This ensures we only teach the most up-to-date content and often leads to job opportunities in our other businesses.

The relaxed yet professional atmosphere at Met Film & TV made editing our BBC3 series a pleasure. In terms of budget it was competitively priced to offset its location, yet its position was a major plus point; The skills of Snr Editor Ewan Lawson made subsequent reversioning of the series very straightforward in spite of a very tight schedule.
